In 1973, his team was the AAA State runner-up. In 1978 and 1979, he served as the OHSBCA President. He is the last two term OHSBCA president. He moved from the 2nd VP directly to President. At that time, the OHSBCA was in financial trouble and along with Dick Finn from The Ohio State University, Dick Termeer from the OHSAA, they helped put the OHSBCA back on their feet. They worked together to review the OHSBCA constitution into the current format along with the details of the executive board yearly duties and "going through the chairs." Bob served as a SW representative. In 1990, he was inducted into the Miami Valley Baseball Coaches Association Hall of Fame.
