Free Raffle for Pre-Registration to Clinic

We are excited for our annual opportunity to gather with Baseball Coaches from throughout Ohio on January 18th - 20th in Columbus.

 

Our OHSBCA clinic registration window opened up last week Wednesday! Our early registration has been good, and we want to keep up the positive momentum.

 

This year’s costs are as follow:

· $100 – Clinic early registration (until 12/22/23)

o This includes the clinic, OHSBCA membership and NHSBCA membership!

· $130 – Clinic late registration (after 12/22/23)

o This includes the same as above

· $40 – Membership only (no clinic)

o This includes OHSBCA and NHSBCA membership

o The deadline is 3/15/24

We are having a FREE raffle for any coach who is fully registered (meaning your fee has been paid) by November 17th.

· There will be three prizes from this raffle:

o 1st Prize: One double room at The Hilton at Easton for Thursday & Friday of the clinic (1/18 & 1/19)

o 2nd Prize: Three dozen Rawlings R 100s

o 3rd Prize: Two dozen Rawlings R 100s

 

· This raffle costs our coaches nothing to be a part of other than to register by November 15th and all of the winners will be announced on "X" on Friday, November 17th.

 

A few other items:

1) Victory & Service Award Form 2024

Any coach who has attained a victory or membership milestone is recognized in the clinic program.

In addition, certificates denoting the achievement are distributed at our district meeting. Membership awards go to coaches who have been members of the association for 15+ years. Victory awards go to coaches who have won their 100th, 200th, 300th, etc. high school varsity games during the preceding year. If you qualify in either or both of these categories, please complete the information sheet on the website. All awards will be presented at the Clinic on Thursday evening. The deadline is December 22, 2023! Members submitting forms after the deadline will not receive their award or be recognized at the state convention. Awards will be given to your district rep for distribution at a later date.

2) Mar-Co Clay Company & OHSBCA Field of the Year

Every Ohio High School diamond, who has an OHSBCA member is eligible for this award.

· The coach shall submit an entry which will include a narrative about:

o Field history

o Field improvements

o Field features

o Any additional information will enhance the field's story

o The coach will also submit up to six photos of the field.

o All nominations must be submitted November 1st for consideration and will be sent each year to the OHSBCA Business Manager:

· A committee made up of at least 4 members of the OHSBCA Board and/or their appointees along with at least one representative from Mar-Co Clay will decide the recipient of this award.

· The recipient will be announced on Thursday during the clinic

· The recipient of the award will be awarded a banner to be hung at their field along with 20 bags of product.

 

3) Pro Choice Field In Need

Every Ohio High School diamond, who has an OHSBCA member is eligible for this award. This award is designed for a program who is looking to make an upgrade to the playing surface and needs help (product).

· The coach shall submit an entry which includes a narrative:

o Field improvement plan (e.g. looking to rebuild the game mound)

o Time line for the improvement plan

o Photos to enhance the entry

o All nominations must be submitted November 1st for consideration and will be sent each year to the OHSBCA Business Manager:
