Coach Donald E. Neff was inducted into the Ohio High School Baseball Coaches Association Hall of Fame in 1975. His coaching career began at Circleville High School where he coached for 6 years. He then became coach for Unioto High School in Chillicothe, Ohio where he spent the next 29 years of his career. He led his team to 26 league championships, 16 sectional titles, 7 district titles, 2 regional titles and 2 state appearances. Coach Neff was selected coach of the year 24 times. His overall record was an impressive 578 wins and 132 losses. Coach Neff also coached 5 All-Ohio Players during his career.
Coach Neff retired from teaching science after 40 years. He resides in Chillicothe, Ohio with his wife Carole. They have 4 daughters: Angie, Gigi, Donna and Holli and 1 son: Scott. Their extended family includes 10 grandchildren.
