Craig said what he appreciates most about his coaching career are the lifelong relationships built with a lot of his players, assistant coaches and other members of the coaching fraternity. He said he measures success on whether the players leave the program not just as better baseball players but as better young men. Attending weddings, celebrating births, coaching together, texts, phone calls, giving professional recommendations and celebrating other life milestones with his players mean more to him than the wins and losses.
Craig said words alone can’t even begin to thank all of the players, assistant coaches, parents, communities, athletic boosters, former coaches, collegues, teachers, staff, administration and most importantly his family for supporting his coaching and educational journey. Craig is blessed and humbled to be a part of the most outstanding high school baseball coaches associations in the country and now its hall of fame. Craig said he looks forward to upholding the standard and doing his part of carrying on the legacy of the Ohio HS Baseball Coaches Association and its hallowed hall of fame.
Craig and his wife of 20 years, Michelle reside in Plain City. They are the proud parents of their son Austin (14) and daughter Anniston (8).
