Dave Hall is presently the President for the Ohio High School Baseball Coaches Association. He begins his twenty-eighth season at Perrysburg High School in Perrysburg after three years as Junior Varsity Coach and four years as Junior Varsity Coach at Toledo Whitmer. In twenty-seven seasons at Perrysburg, he has compiled an overall record of 504-280, winning 7
Northern Lakes League Titles, 12 Sectional Titles and 4 District Titles, 4 Trips to the Regionals and 2 Trips to the State Final Four in 2003 and
2011. In 2011 they were State runner-ups. Ten of his teams have won 20 games in a season going 22-7 in 1998, 27-3 in 1999, 23-5 in 2001, 22-7 in
2002, 23-8 in 2003, 20-9 in 2005, 21-8 in 2008, 23-7 in 2009, 26-6 in 2010, and 26-4 in 2011. He has coached 16 All-Ohio players. 60 of his players have played College baseball, 3 have been drafted and 5 have played pro ball with two-making it to the Majors Leagues-Ron Rightnowar with the Milwaukee Brewers and Burke Badenhop who was recently traded from
Tampa Bay to Milwaukee. He has been NLL Coach of the Year seven times and NW Ohio Coach of the Year four times. He was selected to coach in the Mizuno Senior All Star Series in 1998. In addition, the Jackets have also qualified for the Ohio State Acme State Championships nine times, winning the Acme State Title in 1998.
Coach Hall has been member of the OHSBCA Board of Directors from 1992-1998, 2002-2010, and an officer from 2010-to the present. He also is the Website Coordinator for the OHSBCA. In addition, he has been on the Acme Baseball Congress Board of Directors for 16 years and was inducted into the Acme Hall of Fame in 2010. He was President of the Toledo Metro Baseball Coaches Association. Over the years Coach Hall has been involved as a speaker at camps and clinics throughout Ohio. He also is a contributing writer for www.Web Ball. com.
Coach Hall is a graduate of St. Marys Memorial High School where he played football, basketball and baseball.He is a graduate of the University of Toledo with a B.Ed degree in Social Sciences and an M.Ed. degree in Administration. He was part of the baseball team at the University of Toledo serving as member of freshmen team,batting practice pitcher and team statistician. He always knew he wanted to coach and was always thankful for Coach Sanders and Coach Carbone allowing him to learn and be part of the Rocket program.
Coach Hall has been a teacher at Perrysburg High School for 31 years and teaches Sociology and American History. In addition, he coached football for 25 years and was Offensive Coordinator and Asst Head Coach for 5 years. He also coached several years of junior high basketball. Prior to going to Perrysburg, he taught four years at Whitmer coaching both baseball and football.
Dave has been married to wife Debbie for 35 years, who is a teacher for Toledo City Schools. They have 2 children. His son Jeff played baseball at Oakland University. Jeff is married to wife Bobbie and they have two sons Logan and Austin. Jeff teaches and is the Head Baseball Coach at Rochester Adams High School in Michigan. His daughter Mandi is married to Gene Eddy and they have 2 sons Landon and Clay and one daughter, Harper. Mandi is a 5thgrade teacher in the Stow-Monroe Falls School district. One of the best part of his career was being able to coach
his son and having both his daughter and son in class
